Pyewackets Traditional Shrubs
Genna and Katrina are the talented duo behind Pyewacket’s Traditional, from Lismore in the beautiful Northern Rivers.
They make shrubs and tonics the old fashioned way – handmade, slow fermented , cold pressed and unpasturised, using organic, homegrown or ethically foraged herbs, roots and fruits.
Made with seasonal fruit, herbs, spices, sugar and organic apple cider vinegar. The shrubs are an excellent source of vitamins, probiotics, support your digestion and are naturally low in sugar.
"Shrub" is the traditional name for fruit and herbs fermented in vinegar.
Taken from the Arabic word “sharab” or “drink” , shrubs date back to the Middle Ages when preserving the harvest was essential thru winter.
The Shrubs are concentrates - used to add depth to cocktails, spritzers or soda.
